Meet Jennifer

I was a traditional housewife who married 3 months out of high school. By the time I was twenty-seven I had 4 children, and was living the life I had been trained to live.

Along came Betty Friedan with her book, The Feminine Mystique, followed by Gloria Steinem and Ms. magazine, and my consciousness was raised.

Divorced at age 37 with 4 children and a raised consciousness, I set about becoming "liberated.”

Seven years later I remarried a man who was very supportive of feminism. Yet the roots of "how to be a good wife" were deep in my psyche.

Having done the work to reconnect with my true, essential self has been a very long and painstaking process.

I love working with women who find themselves as I once did . . . stymied and stuck in a hamster wheel going nowhere in a desperate attempt to fix my life so I could find the happiness I'd been told that marriage would bring.

Along the way I had many teachers, read many books, took many classes and workshops, all of which were important puzzle pieces.

But until I found that what was missing in my life was me, not a lot changed.

The learning never stops, of course, but it certainly becomes more exciting and rewarding when it becomes the building blocks to a more soul-satisfying and joyful journey.

I love helping women reconnect with their true, essential self -- the self that was suppressed in early childhood in order to be safe, and repressed in young adulthood in order to fit in.

It is my greatest joy to smooth the way, offering support and assurance as you discover the big, fat lie, that your happiness comes to you from someone or something outside of yourself.
