Do you wake up filled with Joy?

Is Prince Charming still Charming?

Did you really get to put away
that broom and bucket, Cinderella?

And that fairy tale coach . . . did it
turn into a mini-van?

Hi! My name is Jennifer T. Grainger. If you are anything like me, you probably grew up with the Prince Charming / gala wedding/living-happily-ever-after fairy tale dancing through your head.

Not long after the thank you cards were mailed and the wedding gifts put into service, I experienced the bait-and-switch of the fun and magic I’d been programmed to expect for the unrelenting daily drudgery of running a house.

Did that happen to you, too?

On the surface my life looked like a fairy tale. I had everything I was told would make me happy — the husband, the house, the kids, the car, and the big, fat checkbook. Yet, in the background, underneath all that was a chronic, low-level discontent.

I wondered what was wrong with me.

Feeling trapped, with no reasonable way out, I began suppressing my emotions and swallowing my words, because they only made Prince Charming unhappy.

Perhaps, like me, you woke up one day and discovered this was not the life you’d planned!

I realized what was wrong was that, like most girls, I got pushed into the romanticized ideal of marriage and motherhood before I had a chance to connect with a dream of my own.

Getting married was all I thought of from
the time I was 13.

I had high hopes of creating a beautiful, loving partnership with my Prince who would love and adore me, and I’d be his Princess who would make him oh soooooo happy!

Trained to be a cross between Betty Crocker and Cinderella, I gave it my all to make the fairy tale come true. Without my realizing it, over the years my Betty-rella self morphed into a Stepford Wife who was far from happy.

The married life that was supposed to be so thrilling descended into days filled with housekeeping drudgery, a too-jammed To-Do list that seemed to create two new To-Do’s for each one crossed off the list, and ever-increasing demands from all sides.

My pain went on for years.

Ashamed and guilty for not being happy when I “had it all,” I set about alternately trying to fix myself and trying to fix my husband. (Laughable, I know!) I read all the books and took all the courses. I got therapy. We got counseling. I chanted. I meditated. I walked on fire. I watched the movie The Secret. I read the Law of Attraction and The Power of Now.

Nothing made my marriage better.

I’d wake up in the morning with the thoughts “I hate my life,” and “I don’t want to do this anymore.” But there seemed to be no way out. And the worst part was there wasn’t any good, logical reason to be unhappy!

Probably, just like you, my heart and soul had plenty to be unhappy about! Layer upon layer of false selves had been heaped on top of my true, essential self—the me I was born to be. Programmed to fit into the culture in which I was born, my true, essential self was buried alive, but did not die.

It remained comatose in the depths of my heart
and soul, like Sleeping Beauty who’d been rendered unconscious by eating the poisoned apple!

The door to freedom opened the day I told myself
THE TRUTH

“I cannot do this anymore. I don’t know what to do, but if I don’t make a change, my heart and soul are going to shrivel up and die, and I am not willing to let that happen.”

I searched until I found the key to freedom to live the life I was born to live. I reshaped my marriage into a whole new relationship that works for both of us.

Just like me, you were born with gifts to share, talents to develop, and contributions to make. Yet, over and over the impulse to pursue what you were born to do was denied in order to fit into the fairy tale.

It is time to wake up and live the life of your dreams! And you don’t need a kiss from the Prince to do it!

All you need is a little help with the skill of life sculpting to carve away the “good girl” you were trained to be, to reveal the woman you were born to be, and sculpt the life your heart and soul are yearning for.

Imagine taking charge of your life by waking yourself up (with some skilled assistance from me). Because what has been missing in this whole story is YOU! Over and over you were told your happiness would come from outside yourself. That was the poisoned apple. That was the big, fat, lie.

I have lived your story.

I woke up with the help of many teachers along the way. If you are ready to take charge of your life and now become a Queen, not just a Princess, I am here to support you in saying yes to that. Your happiness comes from living your passion, contributing your gifts, making a difference. And I’ll be with you every step of the way through the maze of renegotiating your relationships and creating your life from your own best place.

You can reinvent the magic too, on your own terms.

Let me teach you to transition from a 20th century “good woman” (no needs of her own, believes her fulfillment comes from serving others, who pushes the pause button on her own development) into a 21st century EVOLUTIONARY woman who partners with the universe to co-create her world, who uses her gifts to contribute and fulfill her destiny.
